Welcome to Saraysay, the web-based digital archive and community repository for the Center for Rinconada Culture and the Arts (CRCA) at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Saraysay platform. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Users under 18 may be required to have parental or guardian consent, consistent with CSPC-CRCA policy, before contributing content.
Users may contribute historical documents, photographs, audio, video, and oral traditions to the repository.
Users may voluntarily submit translations of archived materials into Rinconada, Filipino, or English. Submitted translations are subject to the same moderation review as other contributions and will not be published until validated for accuracy by CRCA administrators or designated reviewers. Saraysay does not guarantee the linguistic accuracy of community-submitted or AI-assisted translations.
Saraysay uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to make scanned materials searchable and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to answer user queries based on approved archival sources. Responses generated by the Q&A feature are produced automatically and, while designed to cite only verified archival content, may occasionally be incomplete or misinterpret source material. Always verify critical information against the cited original source.
We collect personal data (such as your name and email address) solely for account management, content attribution, and moderation communication. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data may be shared with CSPC-CRCA staff for administrative purposes related to platform operation. For further details, request our full Privacy Policy.
The Saraysay platform — including its software, user interface design, OCR workflows, and RAG-based system architecture — is the intellectual property of CRCA and its developers. You may not scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the platform's core infrastructure without explicit written permission. This does not affect ownership rights over archival content itself, which remains subject to applicable copyright law and any rights held by CRCA, contributors, or original creators.
You agree not to: upload malicious files or code; attempt unauthorized access to restricted areas of the system; impersonate CRCA staff or other users; use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download archive content without permission; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
The archives are provided "as is" for historical and educational reference. While CRCA strives for accuracy through its moderation review and RAG-based retrieval processes, it does not guarantee the absolute factual accuracy or completeness of user-submitted historical accounts, community translations, or AI-generated responses. CRCA is not liable for decisions made in reliance on archive content.
CRCA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including repeated submission of prohibited content or attempts to compromise platform security.
CRCA may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The date shown with these Terms reflects the most recent revision.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable Philippine law and, where relevant, CSPC institutional policy.
Questions about these Terms or requests related to your data or contributions can be directed to CRCA through the contact information provided on the platform.
The Center for Rinconada Culture and the Arts (CRCA) runs Saraysay, a digital archive for the heritage of the Rinconada district of Camarines Sur. This explains what the archive keeps about you, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Your account. Your name, email address, and password. The password is stored only as a cryptographic hash — nobody at CRCA can read it. If you add them: a username, a short biography, a profile photograph, a cover image, and the languages you prefer.
What you contribute. The files you send in and everything you write about them — the title, description, where and roughly when the material is from. Files are held inside the archive database itself, not on a public web folder.
What the archive reads from your material. Text recovered from scans and photographs by optical character recognition, and subtitles written for recordings. This is what makes the archive searchable.
What you do here. Which items you liked, who you follow, notifications sent to you, and questions you put to the AI assistant along with the answers given.
Sessions. A record of your active sign-ins so a session can be ended without waiting for it to expire, and so you can be signed out after a period of inactivity.
Administrator actions. When a CRCA administrator approves, rejects, restricts, or removes something, that action is recorded with who did it. This is an accountability record, not a record of ordinary browsing.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Anything you publish. A contribution that a moderator approves and marks public can be seen by anyone visiting the archive, together with your name as its contributor. A contribution marked private or restricted is not.
Drafts are yours alone. Unfinished contributions and unfinished translations are visible only to you until you send them.
Services we rely on. Signing in with Google passes your request to Google. Questions asked of the AI assistant, and the archive text needed to answer them, are sent to Google to be processed. Email we send you passes through our email provider. Each of these handles that information under its own terms.
We do not otherwise share personal information, except where the law requires it.
Saraysay sets a cookie to keep you signed in, and another if you ask to be remembered on a device. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Approved contributions are meant to last — that is what an archive is for. Your account details are kept while your account exists. Ask us to close your account and we will remove your personal details; material already published stays in the archive unless you ask for that too.
Copies already downloaded by others, or cached elsewhere on the internet, may not be recoverable.
Passwords are hashed, sessions expire after a period of inactivity, and repeated failed sign-ins lock an account for a time. Access to the moderation and administration areas is limited to CRCA staff accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Saraysay is not aimed at children. If material about a child is contributed, whoever sends it is responsible for having the consent of a parent or guardian.
If this policy changes we will update it here. The date it was last changed is shown on the page.
Questions about your information, or any of the requests above, can be sent to CRCA through the contact details on this site.
